More Cranes Now Than Celtic Tiger Era
Tom Parlon, the Director General of the ConstructionIndustry Federation has revealed that the CIF have carried out a survey whichshows that there are currently 120 building cranes on the Dublin City skyline, more then at any time during the Celtic Tiger era. However, he also says thatin Ireland’s second largest city cork, there are only 19 cranes operating whichis a worrying imbalance.
It is great to see those building cranes back because theyrepresent jobs for the economy. Nowall we need to do is to substantially increase the height for apartment blocksin Dublin city centre, to create a more vibrant living City.
